BMW is the best-positioned company to face the challenges of the future, with research and development being two of the biggest challenges facing the automotive sector. To this conclusion comes the Global Report on Automotive 2017, carried out by the consultancy KPMG. According to this report, BMW has consolidated its position as the leader in the automotive innovation sector thanks to its strong commitment to both electric mobility and autonomous driving, with respective percentages of 16 and 27% compared to the figures for the second classified brand.
About 1,000 executives from the automotive sector from 42 different countries participated in the study, who consider that BMW is the brand with the greatest growth potential in the next 5 years thanks to its high degree of technological involvement, development, and research. Thus, 58% said that the brand will increase its market share in 2017.
