Game show fun on your television

Linda Blair December 01, 2018 Reviews Leave a Comment

Evening television is awash with numerous game show style programmes with thousands and thousands of people tuning in to watch them each day. Well that is if unlike me you have a working aerial. I contacted TV Aerial Repair Bristol company http://aerial-installations-bristol.co.uk/installation-and-repair-services/tv-aerial-installation-bristol/ today to come and sort out my problematic aerial so I can once again enjoy shouting the answers out to the variety of shows I watch. Here are some of the programmes available for you to watch.

Countdown

This may be an old show but it a classic that shows no evidence of reducing in popularity. In fact, the spin of show ‘8 out of 10 cats does countdown’ is equally if not more popular than the daytime show. On both programmes the contestants are required to make as long a word as possible from the letters available from the ones the choose from, as well as an always brain teasing maths round that sees them try to get as close to the target as they can just using each number once. It is a good job Rachel Riley is good at Maths as most of the time this one has me stumped.

Pointless

Another fact based show as well being one about what you can remember. The contestants are asked to pick from a number of options of answers on the board – always given in the same way, in a bid to find the pointless answer – this is one that scores 0 in the number of people in that knew the answer. The rounds have everything from classic works by Shakespeare to 1980 Number one hits and everything in between.

The Time It Takes

A relatively new show presented by the hilarious Joe Lycett with Alison Hammond on hand to act as the time keeper. In this show contestants are required to answer a number of questions, some of which are incredibly easy or with the answers actually hidden in the question – so much so that you will be shouting the answers out in a hope that they will hear you through your magical television! The time each contestant gets it determined by which timer they chose, and it can be anything from the time it takes Alison to suck custard into a tube and place into a wellie right through to how long it takes her to shave the hair off a plastic toy horse. It really is hilarious and the on screen interaction between Joe and Alison makes for a perfect show.
