There is nothing better than winning an award. I remember the day I was awarded for my outstanding performance for the first time like yesterday. My heart melts with joy whenever I see the award plaques in my office. It is not easy to emerge the best among the best. I never thought I could beat some of the employees at my work station. This does not mean that they are not playing any role when it comes to increasing the productivity of the organization.
My last customer award I decided to dedicate it my late husband, John. John was the best man I ever met in this world. If I was to marry another man I would still marry him. He made me to believe that I can do it. During our early years of marriage, I used to stay in the house despite my academic qualifications. I had given up on my dreams but he gave me. I recall him waking up one fine morning and told me he was going to help get a job. After asking his friends and classmates, he was informed of a job interview at this organization. He came home and encouraged me to drop my application forms. I could not let down the man after my heart. I felt on top of the world when I was picked to take up the vacant position out of thousands of applicants. Despite his death, I have continued to work hard.
Today I have more than fifteen personalized plaques in my office and others at home.The photo plaques in my bedroom keep me motivated to work extra hard at work. My children have also learned to walk in my footsteps and now they are doing great. Each day I thank my boss for remembering me during awards. I am also grateful to my team members.
