You will receive a certificate that is accepted worldwide.
Although you are not legally required to have a skipper qualification in order to take part in a short or day charter, many charter companies prefer that their customers do.
Globally, the situation is slightly different. Some charter organisations require just a sailing résumé for places like the Caribbean, for example. However, if you wish to sail around the Med, the International Certificate of Compatibility (ICC) will be required. You must complete an RYA course to apply for the ICC.
