Walking Trails on Llandudno’s Door Step

It is not just its much-loved pier that creates Llandudno’s postcard charm but when travelling on foot along the beautiful stretch of North Wales coastline. If you like to get out and about, whether a hardened hiker or just someone who fancies taking in some nice views during their walk there is something here for everyone.

Begin with the iconic Great Orme Circular Walk. Surrounding the dramatic limestone headland, sweeping views of the Irish Sea and Anglesey can be enjoyed. On a clear day even Snowdonia is visible. Look out for wild Kashmiri goats and rare seabirds on route. For a stay in the Best Hotel in Llandudno, visit https://stgeorgeswales.co.uk/

The West Shore to Deganwy Walk is a more sedate pace. The level, traffic free route runs alongside the sea wall offering tranquil views of the water and never far from wading birds. Ideal for families, dog walkers or those just looking to enjoy some healthy sea air.

For those looking for something other than the main tourist traps, one of the favourite local trails is The Little Orme Walk. The Little Orme, however is quieter than its big brother and overgrown paths burst with wildflowers and flora while quiet coves can be discovered beneath in the rocks where you might just spot seals basking below.

And don’t overlook the Llandudno to Conwy coastal path, connecting two lovely old towns while slipping along sandy beaches and salt-marshes. Yes it is a longer walk but the views on this part are worth every step.

The Llandudno Coastal Path is where you can wander on the coastal paths of Llabelldon, always an agreeable natural beauty and the chance to have some amazing wildlife encounters in this iconic seaside town.
